We chose a beautiful day to show the house and grounds to anyone interested in summer camps.  Thank you to everyone who came to the Hazelhut today.  It was great to meet so many new families too!

We were well prepared on Tuesday morning for the kids from CORE to come and learn about being more thoughtful and caring at the Hazelhut.  After they visited all the animals and learned about the things we have to do to ensure the animals' needs are met, we talked about our own and each others' needs and each of the students made a bag of sweets to take home to someone special, to say 'thank you' for caring for them.

Here are the 6 children we spent today with and what a lovely bunch they are!
Picture
They helped us feed the pigs in the morning and afternoon.
Picture
They made some banana and chocolate muffins, which didn't turn out quite as well as we hoped....
Picture
They enjoyed playing with little Pip before our barbeque lunch.

Then in the afternoon we got creative spray painting leaves on flower pots and doing printing with vegetables in the art room.

The rain came in the afternoon, so we ended the day with some indoor games.

This was our last day for under 8s before we start summer camps in June, however remember that if your child is under 8 years old, but over 6, they can still take part in our summer camps without sleeping over from 9am to 5pm each day.  Contact us for more information!
