8 Hazelhutters arrived today ready for an exciting holiday weekend. We started by showing the newcomers around the house and grounds.
After making sure the animals had had enough attention it was time to get creative.
Today that involved a puppet making workshop. The children had so many new ideas and made some amazing puppets!
After a picnic lunch, we made sure homework was done ready for school on Monday..
Then it was time for the all new walkie talkie treasure hunt, but even the old timers didn't realise that the treasure would be in the same old place!!!!
Later in the afternoon we had a game of 'SPLAT!' - a huge hit with all the kids!
In the evening we went for a walk to see the animals again and pick up sticks for the fire......
......which the children used flint and steel to light. It seemed to take forever for our pizzas to be ready.... but finally we all got fed!
Everyone called home, then had chocolate bananas(!) and then got changed for bed, cleaned their teeth and came down for the movie: 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' - but no one seemed at all scared! What will tomorrow bring?
