Our numbers increased from 8 to 14 today as we welcomed some local children to our camp for sports day. The sky was blue and everyone was full of energy as we started the day. The skipping contest and water relay went off without a hitch. But as we moved to the pitch after snack.... It went from crazy heat to crazy ice! Adaptable as ever, we moved everything indoors and sports day became indoor games day... The kids made sandwiches for lunch and the sun popped out in time for us to enjoy them outside! More rain came after lunch, so we headed indoors for some clay modelling. With the sun back out, everyone wanted to visit the garden and see how the animals were. For dinner we had chicken with Hazelhut runner beans and Hazelhut potatoes dug by very kind Hazelhutters and drizzled with delicious olive oil! Today's last picture shows the children getting ready for the film 'Drop Dead Fred' (what again?!!!)
