It was windy but clear as we approached 'La Martingala' and the children were excited to see the ponies.
Frequent Hazelhutters were quick to greet old friends like Dolce Nera.
While 'new Hazelhutters' were keen to make new friends.
We are proud to report that the Hazelhut children were complimented on their behaviour and agility today!
They also kept the staff entertained with their good humour and comical attitudes!
Once back at the stables we saw the caring side of all the children as they brushed and cleaned the ponies who had worked so hard for them.
By the time we sat down to lunch everyone was super hungry! Luckily Rita had prepared a bumper lunch for us with pasta salad, fruit salad and Giada's mum's strawberry crostata - to die for!
Back at the Hazelhut, the kids took a dip and enjoyed some free time.
Then they made a keepsake before we enjoyed a big bowl of carbonara made with the freshest of Hazelhut eggs. YUM!
