Today we headed out for our first trip to the 'fagetta depressa' at Lago di Vico.
After a snack and a play, we set up a fire for lunch.
Once we knew that our lunch would be delicious, we headed into the woods for a lovely walk.
The trees were beautiful and it was a great opportunity to walk and talk and enjoy our surroundings.
We found a tree with beautiful roots
and a dead tree trunk shaped like a bull's head
We looked out for all the plants and animals from the information board and even saw 2 horses.
When we got back to the 'camp site', our chef had prepared 12 delicious sausages on the grill.
Some kids made friends with a greedy little dog who was looking for tidbits.
After lunch we relaxed in the shade, then headed back to the Hazelhut.
In the afternoon the kids made bracelets, took a swim and learned the Hazelhut song. One boy knows it so well he sang a solo!
For dinner we had delicious garden potatoes and vegetables with fish fingers - YUM YUM!
