The usual Hazelhut timetable was turned on its head this week, so we headed to the fishing lake at the last minute and will go to the horses tomorrow. Before the fishing experience began, there was time to play in the park area. In order to become good fisherpeople, the kids had to learn how to handle maggots. They had to collaborate to catch the fish and not get the line tangled in the wind. They also learned how to handle fish and some were even brave enough to take the hooks out of their mouths. Our best trio ended up catching 18 fish and were given the privilidge of sitting at the head of the table during lunch. Back at the Hazelhut, there were tatties to be dug up! There was the pool to jump in. Cookies to bake..... ....and games to play..... not to mention all the other Hazelhut jobs, like feeding the pigs, collecting the eggs, caring for Pip etc. Well done, Hazelhutters for another champion day!
